acupuncture and other natural remedies for tinnitus

In today’s world, alternative methods of relief for medical conditions are not at all out of the ordinary. There was a time in our world, not so long ago; it would be unheard of to seek outside help, but not today. Seeking relief for a condition that has no real medical cure makes it a shoe in for experimentation with alternative, or natural forms of relief. Acupuncture can really fill that bill.
Acupuncture has been around for thousands of years and has a real strong track record as an alternative therapy for many different conditions, everything from smoking to weight loss to Tinnitus. Because Tinnitus is a symptom it responds quite well to Acupuncture, as well as to other natural remedies. Tinnitus is not a disease, but more a symptom of a condition that occurs due to outside influences.
There are many different reasons you might develop Tinnitus, like being too close to a loud speaker at a concert or to a piece of machinery while at work, having a reaction to medications, or even too much caffeine. Chemotherapy drugs or even aspirin can also cause a good case of tinnitus. For the many different ways that there are to get tinnitus, there are just as many ways to relieve it. Hypnosis is another great natural way to help get your Tinnitus in check.
It is recommended that you use a Hypnotherapist that is certified as such. I, myself am a certified hypnotist, but not a Hypnotherapist. There is a great difference between the two. There are also two different kinds of Hypnotherapists, either medical or clinical. For your tinnitus, I recommend a medical Hypnotherapist. They will be able to help you better than a clinical Hypnotherapist.
I have heard it said that there are people who can’t be hypnotized, but I totally disagree with that. Anyone who truly wants help can get it through hypnosis.
One of the other great alternatives for relieving Tinnitus is through sound. I know that sounds weird, but believe me when I tell you, this really works. It was my savior. The idea is to use sound, like white noise or the sound of the rain or many different sounds that soothe or “mask” the sound of your tinnitus. There are these great new machines that you can buy, quite cheaply I might add, and you can “dial in” the sound that works for you. Understand this doesn’t make the tinnitus go away, it just “masks” the sound so you can concentrate or sleep or meditate or whatever it is that you are trying to do. You can also use a box fan or something similar to do the same thing. The whole idea is to find a sound that is soothing, and train yourself to the sound so that when your tinnitus gets really bad you can produce the soothing sound and drown out your tinnitus.
